Field Guide

This is a series of still life photographs of taxidermy animals with mechanical enhancements. They  are inspired by Victorian era taxidermy displays and meant as a commentary on man’s treatment of animals. The images are about man’s need to interfere with nature, usually under the guise of helping nature. Generally speaking, we just want to help it taste better.

The series was shot entirely on film and printed as conventional c-prints (20×24 edition of 10). The show displayed at Augen Gallery in Portland Oregon.
